The Story Behind the Logo
Lighting the Future
Embodying the vibrant energy of youth and rich heritage, the official logo for the 11th National Scout Jamboree captures the true essence of Scouting in Sri Lanka. At its heart lies a dynamic campfire flame, representing the warmth, fellowship and unwavering Scout spirit that brings us together.
Traditional Sri Lankan geometric art is woven together with Scouting symbols such as the Fleur-de-lis, knots and camp icons, honouring our skills, culture and roots. The bird, tree and marine life represent environmental stewardship, while the launching rocket reflects innovation, STEM and forward-looking youth leadership.
Framed in navy blue and energetic orange, the emblem unites adventure, tradition and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
Official Jamboree Mascot
Meet LORIS
Adding a touch of local biodiversity and charm to the 11th National Scout Jamboree, our official mascot is LORIS, inspired by Sri Lanka's endemic Red Slender Loris (Loris tardigradus). These fascinating nocturnal primates naturally inhabit the lush, conserved forests surrounding our campsite.
Proudly dressed in full Scout attire, complete with his neckerchief, merit badges, compass and Jamboree flag, LORIS is a symbol of environmental conservation, outdoor exploration and wildlife stewardship.
Having LORIS lead the way reminds all Scouts of our duty to protect rare native species and respect the beautiful ecosystem where we camp, learn and grow together in Colombo.
